The population taken in this study would be of 3,874 entry level police officers, which were composed of 10 subject branch offices of Kaohsiung municipal police department, 3 categorized regiments (Criminal, Security/Protection and Traffic) and 3 affiliated teams (Youth, Woman/Child and MRT patrol); in terms of their work units, using the number of currently worked as a proportion of total number of population to obtain the sampling distribution number followed by using the method of separated layer random sampling to categorize job contents in proportion of entry level police officers based on each formation of work units to test the results. There were 700 copies of questionnaires issued with 691 returned less incomplete ones; that is, to obtain 689 effective copies and the rate of effectiveness reached 98.42%. This study took advantage of SPSS 12.0 Statistics suite software to collect and analyze data from effective questionnaires including Descriptive statistics, Independent sampling t-value test, Single factor variation analysis(One Way ANOVA), Pearsons product-moment correlation analysis and Stepwise multiple regression analysis .The main findings are as follows: 1.Feel of current condition with aspects to Work stress and burnout would be of the level of intermediate high when with aspect to Organization commitment basically was of intermediate high as well. 2.With aspect to“holistic Work stress”,the acknowledgement of“Male”is vividly greater than “Female”;people at the age of “36-45”acknowledged greatly more than“26-35; “Married” people possess greater level of acknowledgement than“Unmarried”ones. 3.With aspects to Work stress and Burnout, people with education level of “Aacademy” distinctively possessed greater level of acknowledgement than“University;”with aspect to“endeavor commitment”,people with“university”degree obviously possessed greater level of acknowledgement than people with “Academy”degree. 4.With aspects to“holistic Work stress”and“holistic Burnout”,people with work years“above 15 but below 25 years”had greater level of acknowledgement than work years with“less than one year”as well as greater than and equal to“ 25 years”. 5.With aspects to“holistic Work stress”and“holistic Burnout”,the level of acknowledgement of unit“branch faculties”is greater than it of“branch offices”; with aspect to “commitment of remaining position”,the level of acknowledgement of“branch faculties”is greater than“police departments”. 6.With aspect to Work stress and Burnout,“Security/Protection police”possessed greater acknowledgement level than“Criminal police”,With aspects to“endeavor commitment”, “commitment of remaining position”and“holistic organization commitment” , “Administrative police”、“Criminal police”and“Traffic police”possessed greater acknowledgement level of “Security/Protection police.” 7.With aspects to “holistic Work stress” and “Burnout”, “non-concurrent chief/deputy”officers possessed greater acknowledgement level than officers with “concurrent chief”;with aspect to “endeavor commitment”, “concurrent chief” had greater acknowledgement level than “non-concurrent chief/deputy”. 8.With aspects to “holistic Work stress” and “holistic Burnout”, officers with ranking of “one line-three stars” possessed greater acknowledgement level than officers with “one line-four stars”、“two lines-one star” and “two lines-three stars and above”; with aspect to “endeavor commitment,” officers with “two lines-two stars”had greater acknowledgement level of those with “one line-three stars”. 9.Work stress and Burnout were distinctively positively correlated, and these two variables were strongly negatively correlated with Organization commitment separately. 10.“Stress related to individual” obviously is able to forecast“value commitment”、“endeavor commitment”、 “commitment of remaining position” and “holistic Organization commitment” and its influence is negatively oriented. 11.“Lower profession efficiency” obviously is able to forecast“value commitment”、“endeavor commitment”、 “commitment of remaining position” and “holistic Organization commitment”and its influence is negatively oriented. Eventually according to the results of study, it presented concrete constructive opinions as the references to administrative police bureau in order to lower the extent of Work stress and Burnout to entry level police officers as well as to promote acknowledgement level of Organization commitment, anticipating the administrative police construction of direct municipality to attain better ideal state.
