By classifying a sample of 1,880 Taiwanese manufacturers into four categories (metal mechanics, information electronics, chemistry and commodity industries), these empirical results reveal that the inverted-U shaped relationship between internationalization and performance indicates a better goodness of fit than others. Firm size moderates negatively the relationship between internationalization (foreign R&D ratio) and performance in chemistry industries while firm size has no significant moderating effect in other industries. As for the moderating effect of integration, we obtain mixed results among these industries. Chung Hsing Hsieh 謝中興 2009 學位論文 ; thesis 63 zh-TW
