Summary:碩士 === 國立屏東教育大學 === 特殊教育學系 === 97 === A Study of the Implementation and Its Difficulties of the Resource Rooms for Regular High School in Kaohsiung Abstract The purpose of this study was to investigate the implementation and its difficulties of the resource rooms for regular high school in Kaohsiung. The researcher composed the questionnaire and interview outline as research tools. The questionnaire and interview outline were related with ”The Implementation and its Difficulties of the Resource Rooms for Regular High School in Kaohsiung”. Participants were teachers from resource rooms at regular high school in Kaohsiung. The valid questionnaires from the 11 resource room teachers were investigated and 7 of them were then individually interviewed. The questionnaire data was processed and analyzed by descriptive statistics and times distribution. The results were as follows: 1.The aspect of execution of administration: a.All of the resource rooms for regular high school in Kaohsiung had established Committee of School Special Education. The major functions of Committee of School Special Education were to coordinate the administration departments at school to team up with special education affairs. b.All of the students placed in the resource rooms hold the physically and mentally handicapped manuals or with qualifications of learning disabilities or emotional disorders. c.Resource teachers felt disturbed in IEP, including the general teacher’s low willingness and need modification, etc. 2.The aspect of equipments and resources: a.All kinds of equipments used in the resource rooms in Kaohsiung regular high school were provided by students themselves or rent from special education resource center. b.Because of financial shortage, currently only one high school had established a resource room. Thus, space like a resource room was a lack of other high schools. 3.The aspect of faculty: a.All of the teachers in resource rooms have special education credits from the special education departments. b.The main tasks for resource rooms were teaching and dealing with administrative work. 4.The aspect of learning and student counseling: a.Most of the teaching material in resource rooms were designed by simplifying the used in regular class course. b.The instruction arrangement used by most teachers in resource room was one-by-one base 5.The aspect of achievements: a.The achievements of the resource rooms in Kaohsiung regular high schools included the improved academic records of most students and more aggressive learning attitude from students. b.After counseling, most of students had made improvement in positive behaviors and had more confidence in performance. c.Counseling provided by the resource rooms may ease the emotional pressure from students, and the resource rooms also created a relaxed environment for students. According to the results of the study, the researcher proposed several suggestions as a guide for the education administration authority, resource room teachers, relative stuff and future researchers.
