Summary:碩士 === 國立屏東教育大學 === 教育學系 === 97 ===   The aim of this research is to explore the process of North Pingtung Community College (NPCC) in developing “Study of Pingtung”. Document analysis and interviews were employed as the key research methods. Totally nine interviewees ( 3 key office administers, 4 ex-office administers and 2 adult students at NPCC). The research period were from July 2007 to October 2008. The goals of this research are as following: 1. To explore the constructing process of “Study of Pingtung”at NPCC, which including “The Program of Study of South (Taiwan)”, “The Program of Study of Pingtung”, “the Seminar of Study of Pingtung”. 2. To understand the involvements and influences of key participants ( e.g. Dr. Li Guo-Min ) in the constructing process of “Study of Pingtung”. 3. To explore the curriculum development of “the Lecture of Study of Pingtung” at NPCC. The conclusions of this research are as following : 1.“Study of Pingtung” at NPCC mainly consists of “Research of Pingtung”, “the Lecture of Study of Pingtung’ and community subclasses. Community subclasses and practical knowledge are the characteristics of NPCC in developing the study of place. 2. There were different stages included in the constructing process of “Study of Pingtung” in which involved with different people, including scholars, social movement members and people engaged in the development of local culture and history. 3. “The Lecture of Study of Pingtung” at NPCC is the juncture of the reappearance of “Pingtung Program”. It was the linkage between the development context of NPCC at the past and the possibility of the future. 4. The development of “Study of Pingtung” is earlier than the establishment of NPCC. However, the establishment of NPCC and its effort in developing the study of place has made great contributions to the development of “Study of Pingtung”.   The suggestions are as following : 1. As to the study of place, the further investigation could be focus on local governments, universities, or social groups; 2. As to the research on the relationship between community college and the study of place, the further investigation could be focus on other community colleges that had same experiences in developed the study of place.
