Through documentary analysis, the study examined the relationship between the principal’s leadership strategy and school effectiveness. “The Principal’s multi-frame Leadership Strategy” questionnaire compiled by Ms. Lin, Ming Li, and “School Organization’s Effectiveness” questionnaire was self-constructed, “The Leadership Multi-strategy of Elementary School Principals and the school effectiveness of Elementary School Teachers,” whose validity was evaluated by experts and whose items were revised based on a pre-study analysis. The questionnaires were distributed to 780 elementary school teachers in Pingtung County, and the number of the returned questionnaire was 704. Among them, 689 were valid ones, and the effective response rate was 88.33%. The SPSS for windows 12 statistical software was applied to analyzed descriptive statistics, independence sample t-test, one-way ANOVA, and canonical correlation. The study then came to the conclusion that : 1. Elementary school principals tended to integrate different strategies of leadership. 2. The awareness of the current situation of school school effectivenesst was scored medium to high. 3. The leadership strategy of which teachers were most aware of were symbolic frame, structural frame, human resource frame and political frame. 4. Among all aspects of school school effectiveness, “mentality ” aspect was scored the highest, but “ interact ” aspect was scored the lowest. 5. There was a positive relationship between the principals’ leadership strategy and the school effectiveness. 6. Among the principals’ leadership strategies, the human resource frame had the highest predictive ability in relation to the school effectiveness. 7. Among the school effectiveness, the interact aspect effectiveness had the highest predictive ability in relation to the principal leadership strategy. Finally, the study offered suggestions to elementary school principals, school teachers, and future studies in the light of the research result.
