This paper proposed an Inter-bike communication architecture and bike fleet management system. For the inter-bike communication, simple Store-and-Forward transmission scheme is adopted for the discrete transmission due to the slow-speed and the limited computing capability of embedded communication devices. The routing control adopts the shortest path combined with the weighty mechanism to maintain the fleet members that could receive the message and to avoid the control overhead when establishing the paths between communicating nodes. Due to the heterogeneous characteristic of multimedia messages, DTN is used to increase the priority differentiation of data transfer and receiving between slow-speed bikes. Fleet management system, which provides the traffic, touring, and amusement messages, makes people more convenient in bike riding.
