There was abundant and pure underground water source in Wanden Township in the past. However, Wanden villagers are now forced to buy water to drink because the water source has been continually polluted by various pollutants at different levels, including mercury contained sludge, pollution of poisonous wastes, industrial waste water brought by Kaoping River, Niouchou River, and Chungkang River, livestock farming waste water, domestic waste water, and various pollutants. Does the water that villagers buy meet the inspection standards? It is umknown. This research aims to let Wanden people be aware that drinking polluted underground water and water bought from unknown origins will make them get sick easily and influence health. Products made by Taiwan Water Corporation possess credit and reputation. These products are under strict control by the government. Villagers drink water provided by these products with official protection. If Wanden people can change their habits of buying water and come to a common consensus, elevate water-supply popularization of the villages which have water pipes in Wanden Township, and complete the construction of water pipes in 16 villages of Wanden township as soon as possible with better service, like water supply with preferential prices, provided by Taiwan Water Corporation, in this way, Wanden people definitely can both have economic benefit and ensure health. The goal that Wanden people can settle down in Wanden Township permanently can be achieved.
