Meanwhile, the findings and applications are provided for educational authorities, teacher training institutes, elementary schools, and elementary school teachers for further research. Methods adopted in this study included literature reviews, questionnaires. Firstly, related documents were collected to explore the essential theory and connotations of the professional evaluation of teachers. Secondly, in order to precede the formal investigation, a questionnaire was designed to take a sample of 594, and 517 questionnaire are valid. Finally, the outcome was analyzed by the statistical methods of t-test, ANOVA, and Scheffé posteriori comparisons. The findings of this study are as follows: 1.In terms of the goals of the evaluation of teachers, parents’ opinions are mainly based on formative purposes instead of conclusive purposes. 2.Parents think highly about the objectives of the evaluation. They particularly emphasize on teachers’ moral character and teaching performance. 3.Teachers have less percentage of approval of the methods compared with other items, especially in self-evaluation. 4.Parents have positive attitude toward the sources of the evaluation. They agree to evaluate teaching performance by observation. 5.Parents have positive attitude toward the applications of the evaluation as well. They regard assisting teachers with poor performance for further improvement in teaching, and giving teachers with excellent performance priority to adjust their work as righteous ideas. 6.Parents have high percentage of approval of elevating teachers’ professional status by fulfilling the evaluation of teachers.
