Furthermore, it is to provide future reference for educational administrative organizations, school principles, and directors of academic affairs. Research data are collected by means of a questionnaire. A total of 163 questionnaires are sent out to the directors of academic affairs in public elementary school in Tainan County, and, of which, 158 are valid in the final analysis. By using “The director of academic affairs’ curriculum leadership scale” conducted by the researcher, the data are statistically analyzed by Mean, Standard Deviation, T-test and One-way ANOVA. According to the outcome of the analysis, the results of this research are as follows: 1. The directors of academic affairs in public elementary school perform better in refining the organization and operation of school curriculum development. However, with respect to the curriculum execution and evaluation, more effort made by the directors of academic affairs is suggested. 2. The evaluation of curriculum leadership is biased by the gender of the directors of academic affairs. In general, a male director of academic affairs has more appreciation than a female director of academic affairs. 3. The directors of academic affairs believe that the external factors have major influence on the curriculum leadership. The effect from the director himself or herself is minor. 4. The gender of the directors of academic affairs affects his or her percipience of relevant factors in curriculum leadership. Furthermore, female directors believe that these factors show more impact on the curriculum leadership. In the end, drawing from the research findings, some suggestions are provided for educational administrative organizations, principals, directors of academic affairs, and researchers.
