In this study, 203 Tainan City Library users through the measurement by "public library users of lifelong learning motivation and lifelong learning needs of Service Study Questionnaire" to collect information in order to t test, one-way ANOVA and Pearson product moment correlation analysis of information, users of different backgrounds in order to understand the differences from motivation and in demand for services, the relationship between motivation and demand for services and, through open-ended questions to understand the user''s problems and the recommendations of the library. The results of this study found that: 1.The users of Different occupations in the job functions motivation have significantly differences, Business Services, the work of the military, official and teacher and student motivation to learn significantly higher than that of retirees. 2. In the "Reference" service needs, different age and occupation have significant differences , the 13 -18-year-old users demand for reference service were significantly higher than those 19-24 years old users; student demand for reference service users was significantly higher than retirees users. 3. The various dimensions of motivation for lifelong learning, lifelong learning needs of the various dimensions and Services Study motivation and demand for services, there are positive correlation. 4. Users of life-long learning problems encountered with the recommendations of the library in order to increase the collection of resources mainly.
