There are three families participate in this study. The in-depth interview method and the semi-structured content outline were applied during the parents’ interview to collect the data for analyzing the parental adjustment process. The data was arranged and analyzed through “holistic- content” interpretation of narrative analysis from participants’ interviews. The result shows: 1).The parents’ psychological response to deal with the fact of their child’s illness:(1) The parents with the ADHD child undergo many negative and complicated emotions after their child goes to elementary school.(2). The parents with an ADHD child are stressful because of their different aspects of dealing with their child’s illness.(3). The parents with an ADHD child expect their child could have good academic performance; however, they also concerns that the child’s learning abilities are affected by emotion disorder.(4). The parents with an ADHD child worries that their ADHD child cannot have a healthy interpersonal relationship because of their symptoms of ADHD.(5). The parents with an ADHD child are frustrated when their child’s symptoms of ADHD deteriorate their parent-child relationship.2). The parents’ psychological adjustment process of their child’s illness: (1). To deal with the ADHD child’s problem immediately, the parents with an ADHD child choose to ignore their emotion self-care.(2). The parents with an ADHD child have demand of the identification from their peer groups.(3). The mother with an ADHD child needs the father of their own child participates in nurturing their child.(4). The father with an ADHD child has more plans for his ADHD child than the mother does.(5). The parents with an ADHD child feel that they are still in the adjustment process.(6). The parents with an ADHD think that they need the professional advice.3) The parents’ personal inspiration to their life from the psychological adjustment process:(1). The father with an ADHD child feels that he takes more responsibility for his child. Finally,according to the conclusion and discovery of this research,put forwardd some suggestions for future research, parents of ADHD child, school and counselor.
