From the postwar to the 80th year of Min-Guo, under the government’s policies, Shanhua streets experienced twice urban broadening planning, which made Shanhun a modernized township; its streets featured the second and third industries. Besides, the traffic convenience attracted the consumption of residents from other townships nearby, which continued to play an important geographic role. After the 80th year of Min-Guo, the setting up of Southern Taiwan Science Park promoted every infrastructure of Shanhua Township, activated business functions of its streets and gradually transformed industries. “Toward the science and technology township” has become its slogan.
