Parents having children with hearing impairments in the elementary schools(3rd grade and up), junior high schools and senior high schools in Taipei city and county in the school year of 2007 were participants of this study. The questionnaire designed by the author was the tool of this study and sent to 335 participants, 225 copies returned, and 205 copies were valid (effective return rate was 61%). The data collected from the participants were analyzed by frequencies, percentages, mean and standard deviations, t-test and ANOVA. The major findings were as follows: 1. In general, parents were satisfied with the current inclusion education. Among 5 subscales, parents were satisfied with “teacher’s attitude and teaching”, “supports and service”, and “law and system”. But, the subscales of “learning performance” and “interpersonal interaction and social adjustment” failed to earn the satisfaction of parents. 2. Parents expecting children’s learning performance can be “superior to the peers” were more satisfied than those of being “competitive to the peers” and “no special expectation” groups on the subscale of learning performance; and with more satisfaction than “competitive with the peers” group on the subscale of law and system. 3. Parents having children with hearing impairments at elementary school level showed more satisfaction than those at junior high school level on the subscale of “interpersonal interaction and social adjustment”. 4. There were no significant differences among parents’ educational background, parents’ participation, education project which parents pay attention to most, children’s school area, and children’s degree of hearing loss.
