Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣海洋大學 === 河海工程學系 === 97 === This study is aimed to evaluate the effect of bagasse ash on the properties of cement-based composites. The strength activity index (SAI) is determined by compressive test, and it is 104% for bagasse ash at age of 91 day. Flow, water absorption, initial surface absorption, shrinkage, compressive strength, rapid chloride penetration test, TG-DTA analysis, and SEM observation were conducted.
Test results show that: (1) the flow would decrease with the increase of bagasse ash replacement, and the decrease of particle size of ash; (2) with 10% bagasse ash replacement for cement, the specimen has lower shrinkage, lower absorption, lower initial surface absorption, and lower chloride ion penetration in comparison with the control specimen; (3) 10% bagasse replacement specimens have similar compressive strength as control specimen at age of 56 days; (4) less Ca(OH)2 was found in bagasse ash specimens; (5) specimens with bagasse ash show denser internal structure than the control specimen as illustrated by SEM micrographs at age of 56 days.
