Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣海洋大學 === 河海工程學系 === 97 === Cables have a great ultimate tensile strength and the ability to resist external load by solely developing tensile stress. Hence cables play an important role in civil, ocean and structural engineering. In structural engineering, cables are often used for the suspension bridge or the rail of trolley wheels systems. Cables are vulnerable to wind, earthquakes and other natural factors, or moving impact of the vehicles and gondola. Hence analysis of dynamic response is an important issue and can not be ignored. The purpose of this study is suspended cable analysis of static, fixed-point and moving loads. The methods for static analysis are based on deriving the differential equation that describes the equilibrium condition. Compared to static analysis, great care must be exercised to properly defining a prestressing cable for dynamic analysis. The motivation for this study stems from the necessity to check the validity and accuracy of different solution procedures proposed for studying the dynamic behavior of suspended cable. Both fixed-point and moving loads will be taken into consideration.
