The goal is to construct a robot system which has the self-organizing intelligence and can serve as an assistance robot for digital homes. When a task or terrain varies, modular robots can reconfigure their shapes to get the job completed. The wireless sensor network can be used for communication, positioning and planning purposes. The thesis will emphasize on the design of a vision-based modular robot system. The system mainly focuses on vision feedback and servo motor control to achieve modular robots planning. The robot so far has demonstrated the ability to combine the arm module, the infrared module, and the wheels module. Modular robots can adaptively change functional modules depending on the surrounding situation. Chin-Yung Cheng 鄭智湧 2009 學位論文 ; thesis 68 zh-TW
