It also has many other applications. We use a simple experimental setup to probe into the complex property of ZnO. The wavelength of our pulse laser is 790nm with a 70fs pulse width. We vary the laser power in order to get distinct material nonlinear absorption and refraction property. Furthermore, we use theory to fit the different thickness and different laser power of material nonlinear coefficients. In this thesis, UV and visible spectral data are used to calculate the linear absorption coefficient and extinction coefficient, and the spectrum shows ZnO material has high transmittance at ultraviolet region. For the ZnO nano thin film, we obtain the maximal nonlinear absorption coefficient α3 is 0.071(cm3/Gw2), and the best nonlinear refraction coefficientγis 5.3×10-11(cm2/w). In comparison, the ZnO bulk has the maximal nonlinear absorption coefficient α3 of 0.32(cm3/Gw2) and the best nonlinear refraction coefficientγis 3.42×10-12(cm2/w). Comparing the two kind of ZnO materials, we not only analyse the data systematically, but also find some interesting phenomena. Hai-Pang Chiang Din Ping Tsai 江海邦 蔡定平 2009 學位論文 ; thesis 72 zh-TW
