Light pollution seriously reduces the effectiveness of the analog techniques of conventional observation. Not only the modern digital techniques in astronomical observation will be much easier for the students to cross the technical threshold in learning and using the facilities, but although the users can easily take a high-quality photo of the astronomical object even in the glowing night sky of Taipei city. It effectively increases the frequencies for students to use the facilities and telescopes inside the dome. The applications of digital technique to the education of astronomical observation include the wide-angle astro-photographs of constellations, deep sky objects such as star clusters, nebular, and galaxies, the analysis of color index of star clusters, light curve of variables, the Hertzsprung-Russell diagram,…etc. With the advent of digital cameras featuring CCD chips more sensitive than film, much astrophotography no longer requires extremely long exposure times or non-light-polluted skies. This thesis systematically studies the observational conditions in this site of NTUEO, and sets up a series of standard operational procedure both in manipulating and/or maintaining the digital techniques and/or the facilities of astronomical observation in NTUEO. Thanks to the user-friendly techniques of digital astronomy observation, the proximity of NTUEO to the city resident and the provision of regular activities will ensure that both the students and the visitors will have good access to the telescopes and certainly will have a wonderful experience in learning astronomy. 鄭宏文 2009 學位論文 ; thesis 80 zh-TW
