Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北教育大學 === 音樂學系碩士班 === 98 === The author graduated from Musical Group of Provincial Hualian Normal College in 1984 and had since involved in the teaching works of musical wholeheartedly, particularly in the teaching of violin and string orchestra. In 2000, the author moved his family from Taipei back to hometown, Yilan. One of the reasons for moving back to Yilan is the prosperous development of elementary school string orchestra in Yilan County. Since the author taking over the administration of Chunghsing Elementary School in Wujeh Township of Yilan County as the principal of 6th term in 2003, and as the deputy convener of elementary school arts and humanity field (responsible for musical party). Due to the coverage, the author has the opportunity of the development of string orchestra from administration prospect. However, it is still a general understand. It is hoped that this research plan could provide a deeper understanding of the development of string orchestra in Yilan County elementary schools, for the author as well as for friends concern about string orchestra. Chapter 1 of this research gives the motive, purpose, subjects of the research, scope and method. Chapter 2 is mainly describes the development of string orchestra of foreign country, in Taiwan and in Yilan elementary schools. Chapter 3 gives the introduction of organization and training of elementary school string orchestra, covering the preparation, recruitment, training manner, uses of teaching materials. Chapter 4 discusses the current situation of string orchestra of elementary schools in Yilan, including teaching, repertoire practiced, teaching materials used and the problems encountered and in Chapter 5 there are conclusion and suggestions.
