This study used cluster sampling concept, aimed for forth grade and sixed grade students of Taipei County in 2008, totally 515 valid samples, with the research tool of &auot;Elementary School Students Peer Acceptance Attitude Scale&auot; edited by Lin Tung-shan. Data was processed by social science data packages (SPSS) 12.0 version, and statistically analyzed step by step to get the average, the standard deviation, t test, one-way ANOVA and multiple regression analysis. The major findings of this study are as follows: First, peer acceptance attitude toward elementary school students in Taipei County is positive and active. Second, acceptance attitude has impact by different background variables as below, (A) in terms of gender, girl students have higher acceptance attitude toward disabled students than boy students. (B) in terms of grade, the fourth-grade elementary students have higher acceptance attitude than sixth-grade students. (C) in the degree of contact frequency, different level of access to elementary students has no significant difference. (D) in academic performance, high performance students have higher acceptance attitude than others. (E) whether as a class cadre, students as cadre have higher acceptance attitude toward disabled students. (F) in different types of disabilities, peer acceptance attitude toward multiple-disability students is more positive. Third, background variables such as gender, grade, degree of contact, academic performance have predictive power. The predictive power ranking from highest is grade, academic performance, gender, whether as a class cadre, and the degree of exposure. Finally, this study, according to the results, provided suggestions to education units, schools, and future research.
