They think as the way Socrates does. They solve problems by asking questions when they are interested in them. The purpose of this essay is to observe the operation of the thinking and the logical narration of children by co-reading, questioning, and discussing the stories of Arnold Lobel within the community of inquiry. There wre nine children in the community of inquiry who are at the third grade. Every time we used a story as a medium to provoke their thinking. Students and I read together and they questioned during or after the story, then we used dialogue to discuss the ones they were interested in. At the process goes, the narration of stories or of dialogue that made students laugh have humorous qualities, also made them think and question. This research consults Le Rire[Laughter] of Henri Bergson and Der Witz und seine Beziehung zum Unbewussten of Sigmund Freud to analyze the texts that make students laugh and sums up to three kinds of humorous types: ossification ,confusion and solving ,and innocent foolishness YANG MAO XIU 楊茂秀 2009 學位論文 ; thesis 81 zh-TW
