Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 電信工程學研究所 === 97 === Many literatures about split-ring resonators(SRRs)have been presented for application in recent years. When SRRs are arranged periodically, it could generate the negative permeability which couldn’t find in nature. It is also called the metamaterial. SRRs are applied in transmission lines and antennas extensively. The analysis of SRR is almost complete, for instance, its electromagnetic characteristics, effective permeability which is obtained by scattering parameters, and effective inductance or capacitance in equivalent circuit. With the rapid development of modern wireless technology, mobile devices are asked for as small as possible. Therefore, miniaturization has become an important issue in wireless systems. In this thesis, we will take advantage of slow-wave concept to achieve miniaturization. It is known that the equivalent inductances and equivalent capacitances of SRRs are much smaller than those of the lump elements. Thus, the percentage of size reduction by using SRRs is limited. Therefore, we propose in this thesis a slot loop antenna using SRRs in conjunction with the lump inductors to achieve the larger percentage of size reduction. The proposed antennas will be theoretically studied and experimentally verified.
