After Adobe Systems Incorporated merged with Macromedia, the functions of PDF are directed towards multimedia. Combining with those special characters, PDF is commoly applied by different industries. Different subsets of PDF have its users, for example printing quality applies to high quality products while the smallest file size applies to web or e-book design. Because PDF is used in different industries and fields, the establishment of PDF files becomes more complex and professional. Users find difficult in operation and result in decreased efficiency. Convenience usage conflicts with complex PDF subsets, thus there is a need to survey real situations and use intention to understand the difference in usage and real situations. Therefore, the use intention is the main purpose of this research. Based on the literature review, there is a thorough understanding of PDF subsets. Combining the Technology Acceptance Model, Information System Success, Task Technology Fit and royalty, a survey questionnaire was developed and a PDF user intention survey was condocted. The result showed users agree with PDF efficiency and profession, but users find the PDFsubsets were too complex and several settings were excessive. Moreover, the Perecived Ease of Use, Pereceived Usefulness, Attitudes toward Using and Behavioral Intention positively affected the attitude toward use intention and royalty.
