Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣藝術大學 === 表演藝術研究所 === 97 === Abstract As one of the major forms of Chaozhou music, Chaozhou Xianshi music has very unique musical content and skill of performance which is varied in style. None of “Chaozhou gong & drum music”, “Chaozhou temple music”, “Chaoyang ditao music”, “Chaozhou thin music”, “Chaozhou waijiang music”, or “Chaozhou theatrical music” were developed without the help of Xianshi music. This proves the importance of “Chaozhou Xianshi music” in the study of Chaozhou music. Therefore, to say that the study of “Chaozhou Xianshi music” is the entrance to the territory of Chaozhou music would not be an understatement. Chaozhou Xianshi music was brought into Taiwan by early migrants. There were many active Chaozhou music groups that specialized in the performance of Chaozhou Xianshi music. These music groups were invited to perform in a concert held for the inauguration of the president and vice-president, and were also invited to perform to welcome the return of overseas Chinese or to visit South East Asian countries for a cultural exchange. This proves that Chaozhou Xianshi music by then was a most popular performing art. This thesis covers two aspects: one is the analysis of Chaozhou Xianshi music, from the quantitative analysis of music performance and Yangqin music to discuss complicated performance and sonata style of Xianshi music; the other is Taiwan’s historical development of Chaozhou Xianshi music, oriented with the interviews of several famous musicians and recording the evolution of Chaozhou Xianshi music in Taiwan.
