Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 建築系 === 97 === Subsurface Scattering is one of the most hot research topic in the recently years. This translucent technique is mainly applied to simulate the real lighting effect from the inside of a non-fully translucent material. This special lighting effect can let an object’s surface looks like more soft and layering. In addition, the most important of this lightning effect is to let the material looks like more real and enrich the visual feelings of the audience. Because of this reason, this study will focus on the application of translucent material in the 3D environment. This study will discuss the visual effects of subsurface scattering from a real material. Based on this concept, how to simulate the translucent material in a effective way and the what the difference of convenience and effects between related materials is will be discussed through the related setup of light and material technique in the 3D environment. Finally, this study will separate into two parts. One is try to use the Maya BRDF material and related utilities to show the translucent visual effects of a material, for example, skin. The other is to use Mental Ray 3S material to simulate the translucent material, such as grape and milk etc.
