Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 營建工程系 === 97 === In modern structures, the complicated piping system for wiring and services becomes a problem for structural designers. In order not to reduce the usable height of each floor, openings in beams for piping to go through is not unusual. In reinforced concrete beams, openings will cause geometric discontinuity in the cross section. Thus, stress concentrations occurred around the openings will cause cracks. This study presents an experimental investigation of reinforced concrete deep beams with web openings subjected to vertical loads. Eighteen specimens were tested to study the effects on ultimate shear strengths of deep beams of concrete strength, horizontal shear reinforcement, and vertical shear reinforcement.
