Indirectly, the historic trace and the natural environment left by our ancestors are gradually disappeared. For example, "thousands of Pitang" in Taoyuan area, which was built for agricultural irrigation and biological habitat, are gradually changed into the landfill or other land-use types due to the fast land-use change caused by the urbanization and industrialization. This situation is indirectly referred to the issues of history, culture, and ecological environment. Therefore, the land-use change and the preservation of Taoyuan’s Pitang have become an important topic for Taoyuan’s landscape planning. This study applied the techniques of remote sensing and geographic information system and the SEBAL model of energy balance to derive the environmental parameters such as vegetation index, surface temperature, evapotranspiration (ET) etc. according to satellite images at different dates. The objective was not only to investigate the change of Taoyuan’s land-use and evapotranspiration under different spatial and temporal scales, but also to assess the effect of Pitang change on micro- environment according to the relationship between Pitang distribution and evapotranspiration. The processes include the map generation and accurate assessment of land-use types (e.g., forest, building, water, shadow, farming land, and non-farming land) according to hybrid image classification and two Landsat-5 images in 1995 and 2002, the calculation of landscape indices with FRAGSTATS software for monitoring the spatial/temporal land-use change and the relationship between Pitang and the surrounding land-use type, and the estimation of ET according to the environmental parameters (e.g., vegetation index, surface temperature) derived by satellite image, digital terrain model, and SEBAL model for monitoring the change of Taoyuan evapotranspiration and its relationship with the surrounding micro-environment. The results obtained from this study will be a reference for future land use planning and landscape planning in Taoyuan area. 鄭祈全 2008 學位論文 ; thesis 69 zh-TW
