Abstract
Jian Deng Xin Hua,the representative and classical masterpiece of Ming Dynasty Chinese novel, inherits Tang and Song Dynasties legend and influences Liao Zhai Zhi Yi. In the history of development of the classical Chinese novel, its value can't be ignored and it has played an important role to the prosperity of the opera and vernacular novel of Ming and Qing Dynasties. From the vertical axis of novel development, there will be difficult to reflect Ming Dynasty whole novel development if neglect this work. From the horizontal axis, Jian Deng Xin Hua is abroad overseas and influences Korea, Japan, Vietnam Chinese novel development. Style of writing and content makes this work deserve to be researched. Therefore, this thesis regards it as the target of discussing.
There are eight chapters in this thesis. On foundations of forefathers, explores the life of Cyu You , looks over Jian Deng Xin Hua edition and the noted copy, probes into subject source and literature achievement, traces the impact on Ming and Qing Dynasties and overseas literature development. Chapter one outlines the research methodology and target. Chapter two gives a description of Cyu You life , prison event and degradation of career. While discussing edition, forefathers seem overweight the process of book creating and spreads. Chapter three focus on the various editions comparison of rolls of Jian Deng Xin Hua, Korea edition(Jian Deng Xin Hua Jyu Jie), newer edition in recent years. Through the inspection, there will be clearer about differences editions variations . Chapter four looks into edition collations, content characteristics and biases of noted edition to discuss the earliest and most popular Jian Deng Xin Hua noted dition : Lin Chi's Jian Deng Xin Hua Jyu Jie and Jhou Lnng-Cie's Jian Deng Xin Hua Extra Two. Chapter Five explains the achievement of Jian Deng Xin Hua which contains the materials of forefathers and poetic works, quotes historical events, uses folk faith and live custom and author's own experience. Therefore, the resources of Jian Deng Xin Hua are various and abundant. Chapter six describes the literature achievement through the excellent writing skill and the description of love and emotion. In Chapter seven,besides the impact on literature and overseas development, it also inspects the spread predicament and its true value that should be cherished. The final chapter,Chapter eight, there are review and conclusion about this research.
