| Summary: | 碩士 === 聖約翰科技大學 === 電機工程系碩士在職專班 === 97 === The purpose of this study is first to explore the influencing factors among technical college student in terms of choosing schools; then, further suggestions are proposed for school administrators to use as references. Questionnaires were designed and measured on 2 distinct variables – criteria for choosing schools and satisfaction after entering the school. In addition, there were 5 aspects in terms of criteria for choosing schools and 4 aspects regarding satisfaction with the school. Questionnaires were distributed to 758 freshmen in an A Technical College in northern Taiwan; 544 questionnaires were gathered. The response rate for the questionnaires is 71.8%. The results are showed as follows:
Criteria for choosing schools:
1.In terms of “learning and counseling” aspect, there are significant differences in different gender.
2.With regard to “convenience of living” aspect, students in Humanity and Applied Science of Living Group, Private Vocational High School and the Programs of the Recommendatory and Selective Examinations show significant differences than those in Business Management Group, Public Vocational High School and the Program of Joint Enrollment and Placement respectively.
3.In reference of “environment and facility” aspect, there are significant differences between students from Middle Taiwan and those from other regions of Taiwan.
4.As for the “school reputation” aspect, there are significant differences between students through the Recommendatory and Selective Examinations and those from the Traditional Entrance Exam.
Satisfaction after entering the school:
1.In terms of “administration quality” aspect, male students, students from Southern Taiwan show a higher satisfaction than female students and those from other regions.
2.With regard to “environment and facility” aspect, students in Business Management Group show a higher satisfaction than those in Information Management Group.
3.As for the “overall satisfaction of the school” aspect, Private Schools students and students from the Program of Recommendatory and Selective Examinations also reveal a higher satisfaction than Public High School students and students from the Program of Joint Enrollment and Placement.
