The research is an experiment. The results are: 1) there is no notable result for the attention to news between subjects of big and small screen groups. It means that the size of screen can’t influence subjects’ attention on TV news. 2) For news understanding, the understanding of subjects in small screen group is obviously sliding. It’s probably because, in small screen, the information procedures consume more resources and cause the resources of understanding decreasing, and then result the reduction of effect on information procedure. 3) For the reasons that subjects of big and small screen groups pay attention and ignore the senses of news, from the data of the analysis in this research, when watching TV news via small screen, subjects mostly value the elements related to news and stress on the reception of sight. Furthermore, it’s probably because the screen is small, the reception of sight and understanding consumed more resources and results the decrease of information procedure for hearing. Finally, it is suggested that further researcher can focus on and deeply analyze the reception from big and small screens.
