Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北科技大學 === 建築與都市設計研究所 === 97 === Urban Road is one of the sources leading to Urban Heat Island Effects, and the more density of urban roads cause greater Urban Heat Island Effects. In Taiwan, urban road system is planned considerately. It always designs currently with hard surface and focuses on "transferring" vehicles. The key point to the design of urban roads is giving vehicles priority by increasing the vehicle lanes. It omits the considerations of energy-saving, green-making, eco-environment, green transportation, and sustainable development. In a changing era, urban roads not only have the function of "transferring", but also consider to enhancing the quality of eco-environment and sustainable issues. In the mean time of developing domestic tourism and leisure industries, urban roads are forming the important image of a city. The promotion of green architecture is also towards the eco-village and sustainable metropolitans. This means that the upgrade is from a focal point to the comprehensive urban development, and the linear ecological road will play an important role for ecological space within urban area. Therefore, this research stands an essential role for the design criteria of urban ecological roads. For the purpose of improving eco-environment and sustainable development, the literature reviews, case studies, and questionnaires was used in this research to frame the design aims and principles, and furthermore to establish criteria of urban ecological roads. It aims to improve the urban eco-environment and micro-climate, to create the co-existing area for both human and nature, to enhance the quality of urban life, and to offer a better guide for future road design.
