However, in order to enable the design and development of new WSN protocols and applications, they are necessary to monitor and to evaluate the operation of WSN. Furthermore, the researches of routing protocols can improve that the WSNs’ communication efficiency. In terms of these, evaluating WSN in simulation is an effective and feasible solution under constrains of hard to actually implement and cost consideration. NS-2 is a network simulation framework, written in C++ and a language called Otcl. However, it is hard to develop in WSN simulations, because of generality, scalability and extensibility. In terms of these, the J-Sim network simulation framework, which is combined with IEEE 802.15.4 protocol module is used. In this thesis, the routing protocol called DSDV, which is designed. The simulation result was shown that the influence of some parameters is very important to DSDV protocol, such as beacon value, node development and setting time. Finally, the decision of the conclusion that helps us to find out DSDV protocol is not fit in IEEE 802.15.4.
