The research was conducted by quantitative and qualitative methods. Both experiment and control groups were designed by the researcher. The “matter and heat” unit was introduced in the teaching material. All samples were conducted in quasi-experiment research, one group was conducted in experiment group by using hands-on activity learning and control group was control group. The Science Process Approach Test, “Matter and Heat unit achievement Test”, and the feedback of Natural Science teaching questionnaire was designed by the researcher. The instrument was modified by the researcher. The period time was 21 class hours during 7 weeks. All results were analyzed by using SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences). There were three significant difference items: (1) the experiment group is better than the control group in “Science Process Approach”; (2) the experiment group was better than the control group on learning achievement; (3) the top-level samples were better than midde-level samples and the midde-level samples were better than low-level samples. But there was not significant difference on learning achievement between male and female students. Chen I-Shin 陳義勳 2009 學位論文 ; thesis 154 zh-TW
