The number of returned quesionnaire was 200 for data analysis. (77.22% of them are useful.)The data was statistically analyzed by Descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA,and Scheffé method. The results were summarized as follows: 1.The degree of the need of elementary school general teachers in paraprofessionals’ service in the classroom, the demention “instructional support” reached the highest average,and the following are “safety of students”, “communication support of students”, “personal care assistance”, and “classroom oganization”. 2.The degree of the satisfaction of elementary school general teachers in paraprofessionals’ service in the classroom, the demention “safety of students” reached the highest average,and the following are“personal care assistance”, “the total satisfaction ”, “communication support of students”, “instructional support”, and “classroom oganization”. 3.There were significant differences between need and satisfaction in every demention of this study,which means that the degree of teachers’ satisfaction is higher than need. 4.As to the degree of need, there were 2 significant differences in teachers with different backgrounds are the variable of “sex” and “the disability of special student”. 5.As to the degree of satisfaction, the only significant difference in teachers with different backgrounds was the variable of “the disability of special student”.
