To scheme the smoke exhaust system of fire safety equipment in building, designers always design the system according to “the Standard for Installation of Fire Safety Equipments Based on Use and Occupancy”. The type and scale of buildings are complicated gradually. In the case for the scheme scope of the fire safety devices exceed the fire safety regulations, the project have to the competent to approve by the central fire authority. In order to verify the performance of the fire safety equipments, this research has already developed out the method of full scale test for buildings reference NFPA 92B, AS 4391 and CNS 8874 code. One of the instruments for test, it will not only detect traditionally exist of smoke but quantity conveniently the concentration of the smoke. By the way of analyzing the change situation of the smoke, this research has found the visibility problem which personnel face while taking refuge in fire.
