In the meanwhile, we recorded the cry sound due to injection. We used the voice processing software to analyze fundamental frequency and first formant in the cry sound. For observing the change in physiology, we evaluated representative parameters in HRV among time using short time Fourier transform (STFT). We expected to get further understanding of neonate by discussing the change and the correlation within cry sound parameters and HRV parameters. The frequency HRV analysis shows that during resting, the dominant energy is in VLF band and the LF band is next. There is barely energy in HF band. The respiratory sinus arrhythmia peak, which is commonly seen in adult’s high frequency band in HRV spectrum, is rarely found in neonate’s HRV spectrum. After injection, the VLF band energy changed irregularly and the LF band energy significantly decreased. The HF band energy decreased or not changed a lot. While we transferring energy to normalized units, we found that after injection, the HF band energy is increased and LF band energy decreased relatively. We found a negative correlation between cry sound and HRV parameters. Tsair Kao 高材 2009 學位論文 ; thesis 57 zh-TW
