This thesis presents and implementation of a receiver and a transmitter in TSMC 0.18um RF CMOS process. Both of them are designed to meet the requirement of specifications which are WiMAX 802.16e mobile and WLAN 802.11a. The compact dual-band low voltage receiver RF front-end integrated circuit is consisting of broad-band LNA, down mixer and variable gain IF balun. This design achieves low power consumption with low supply voltage and compact size by employing a transformer structure LNA. Finally, we design a variable gain IF balun to improve the linearity of this receiver. The compact dual-band transmitter RF front-end integrated circuit is consisting of dual-band PA and high linearity up-mixer. The CMOS PA is using a dual-band matching network to supply high output power at two bands. Finally, we design a high linearity mixer base on transformer in order to reduce the number of RF cascade amplifiers and chip size. 楊正任 2009 學位論文 ; thesis 120 zh-TW
