A cascoded topology is used in the limiting amplifier to increase the gain of differential amplifier so,as to achieve a large dynamic range. This kind of limiting amplifier is connected with a rectifier of unbalanced source-coupled differential pairs. The detection range at 900 MHz is 46 dB .In order to increase the operating frequency further, a common source differential pair with NMOS load and a feedback topology is employed to increase the single-stage bandwidth.. The simulation results show that the applicable frequency range reaches to 8 GHz with the overall dynamic range being more than 30 dB and logarithmic error within ± 1dB.In the final study, using an interleaving active feedback topology in the limiting amplifier makes the operating frequency extended to 10 GHz. By this way, the chip area and power consumption are greatly reduced. Janne-wha Wu 吳建華 2010 學位論文 ; thesis 97 en_US
