Description
Summary:碩士 === 長庚大學 === 電機工程學系 === 98 === As the coming of green era, exploitation of green power and reduction of CO2 emissions have become one of the most significant issues concerned. Taking the panel industry for example, predominance of low power consumption and long standby contribute to the flourishing development of electronic book industry. However, long response times and deficient chrominance are the challenges that need to be conquered. Therefore, in this thesis, we propose a new scheme for TFT-LCD backlight and GAMMA adjustment such that the power consumption can be reduced and increase the lifetime of the product. The dynamic backlight and GAMMA control system are developed by using fuzzy controller, for deducing the backlight power consumption of handhelds products, extending battery life and standby time, and then achieving the purpose of energy saving. Based on Human Visual Perception and the characteristics of LCD panel, the thesis constructs the LCD control platform with fuzzy controller and Field-Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA). Moreover, the experimental results that illustrate the efficiency of the proposed scheme are also addressed.
