碩士 === 中華科技大學 === 經營管理研究所 === 98 === With the development of the international network, the enterprises could easily acquire most of the information from the business suppliers. This result enables enterprises to consider more factors when choosing a business supplier. In order to surpass numerous competitors for the cooperation chances with enterprises, the suppliers should acquaint the preference of enterprises. In this study, the metal and ironware enterprises around the Huizhou, Guangdong province in China are selected as the study objects. By using questionnaire to survey and the often-used indexes of supplier evaluation in the relative studies, we generalize four aspects and twelve important indexes. In the meanwhile, the Decision Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory (DEMATEL) method is used to analyze the inter-relationship of these aspects and to establish a relationship structure of supplier selection model. The Analytic Network Process (ANP) is also utilized to find out how the enterprises select their business suppliers in this model. Eventually, the survey respondents' preference is grouped by Clustering Analysis for further analyzed and discussed. The research points out that when it comes to selecting a business supplier, the most important factor for metal and ironware producers is the quality. The following factors sequence is the ability of keeping continuous improvement, the ability of reducing the prime cost, the management control and the price. Furthermore, the result of clustering analysis divides the samples into two groups. Most of the preference indexes sequences are similar, only the reliability, the management attitude, the development perspective, the service ability and the customer complaint policy are different in various survey objects. That is, if the business suppliers could develop their major abilities on the first five indexes and still keep the other indexes in average performance, the chance to cooperate with the enterprises is ensured.
