The current level of CO2 emissions of Taiwan ranks it 22nd in the world. In addition to Taiwan, over the past century, rises above the increasing rate of the global average temperature, thus the pressure of reducing carbon also increased significantly. In this context, the affect of household energy use is the primary purpose of this study. In this study, from the literature reviews summarized the scope of the urban and household lifestyle, included the household of the Eastern District of Chungwen Village and Yu-Sheng Village, and of the Central and Western District of Shiantsau Village and Shihu Village in Tainan City as the study sample. The variables of household lifestyle in surveys are collected by questionnaire, including the population of households, income, lawn establishment size, building types, the amount of vehicle holding ,etc. The surveys of urban lifestyle are collected by geographic information system and field investigation includes mixed land usage, size of household street blocks, the amount of intersections, the distance of the bus stops. Finally, study the impact of household energy use in urban and household lifestyle by Structural Equation Model. The empirical results show that household income, population, the size of lawn establishment, education level and the holder of motor vehicles will cause positive impacts on household energy use, while the size of street blocks, the amount of intersections and mixed land-uses also will affect household energy use. Through research results of the study analyses the current situation and offers strategies to improve their influencing factors. Su Chen Kang 蘇振綱 2010 學位論文 ; thesis 97 zh-TW
