Some fatal accidents and nonfatal accidents occurred, because of incorrect information provided by vendors and loose safety management. So far, there is no antidote for TMAH. If employees don’t fully understand properties of TMAH and how to protect themselves, their chances of being hurt by TMAH would increase. This research is to analyze the perception of panel-plant employees on the risk of TMAH. Related regulations and properties of TMAH are the basis of this perception survey, besides PPE use, administration, safety practise, and personal behavior. All the 947 participants are from a panel-plant. This study is aimed to provide the profile of how much understanding the employees in a typical panel-plant have regarding TMAH. The results can help re-design the training program and hopefully arm employees to prevent accidents caused by TMAH. The result revealed that the facility engineers’ cognitive score is the highest. The order is facility engineers, safety and health related staff, maintenance engineers, contractors, and the lowest is operators. In addition, the employees who received the training on TMAH gain higher score than the untrained employees. Furthermore, the difference between these two groups is significant statistically. Moreover, improper training program would not be necessarily helpful for employees to achieve high score. 謝賢書 2010 學位論文 ; thesis 86 zh-TW
