Description
Summary:碩士 === 中原大學 === 化學研究所 === 98 === Polymer / layered silicate nanocomposites show the enhanced physical and chemical properties when compared to acrylic polymer .In this work Different types of multifunctional acrylic monomers have been used to prepare acrylate / clay nano-composites. There are two types of clays with different cation exchange capacity (CEC),which applied to compare with each other in antiultravoliate and visible light antiscrach, and T5d properties. The clays have been modified, by ion exchange reaction with K2. The modifying agent is used not only to increase inter layered spacing, but also the compatibility between clay and acrylic polymer matrices. The modified clays have been characterized by wide angle X-ray diffraction pattern (WAXD) and thermo-gravimetric analysis (TGA). The acrylic resin /clay nanocomposites have been prepared by UV-cured polymerization method. The powdered X-ray diffraction (XRD) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) techniques were employed to study the morphology of the acrylic resin /clay nanocomposites. The thermo-mechanical properties were examined by thermo-gravimetric analysis (TGA). The optical property was measured by UV-VIS spectroscopy (200nm~800nm) which shows that these materials have good optical property. Then, the scratch test was examined by pencil hardness machine which shows that the result is relate to the dispersed state of the clay. When the clay disperse uniformly, the mechanical and physical properties will both increase significantly.
