碩士 === 中原大學 === 資訊管理研究所 === 98 === With the coming of the Web 2.0 era, cloud computing has become a very hot topic in the recent years. The development of the internet and cloud services has led to more and more information sharing and interaction between people. If cloud computing can be applied to education and learning, brand new learning methods can be developed to make up for the insufficiency of traditional learning management systems. A pervasive learning system constructed in a cloud computing environment may satisfy learners’ diversified learning needs, providing more learning interactions, assistance, and a mechanism to share knowledge, so that more learners can participate and the concept of pervasive learning can be carried out. Nowadays, there are often limitations on most common learning systems, for example, resources can not be efficiently allocated and hardware is not scalable enough. Therefore, it is impossible to efficiently improve performance of learning systems. In the recent years, cloud computing has become popular. Brand new ideas can be brought to pervasive learning system through one of the cloud computing concepts, infrastructure as a service, with both public and private clouds. This study focuses on constructing a pervasive learning system under the structure of cloud computing, with the features of cloud computing, including scalability and flexibility, to create a learning environment without limitations on time and space, to achieve the ideal of barrier-free learning.
