Effects of Thermophoresis and Radiation on Heat and Mass Transfer for Flow over a Streching Surface

碩士 === 中原大學 === 機械工程研究所 === 98 === A study of the effect of thermophoresis and radiation field on heat and mass transfer from an unsteady stretching surface is reported. In this study, the air flow was modeled as two dimensional, incompressible and steady-state laminar flow. The similarity transform...

In this study, the air flow was modeled as two dimensional, incompressible and steady-state laminar flow. The similarity transformation and numerical technique are used to solve governing equations include mass, momentum, energy and concerntration. The solutions are obtained by Runge-Kutta integration method and shooting method. The results include velocity profiles, temperature and concentration distributions for different , and . Results showed that the velocity profiles were found to be reduced by increasing values of the unsteadiness parameter . The heat transfer rate is increased with increasing and . The effects of thermophoresis were predicted to be particularity important for concentration blowing away a hot surface at a given temperature gradient. R. Tsai 蔡瑞益 2010 學位論文 ; thesis 51 zh-TW
