Summary: | 碩士 === 致遠管理學院 === 教育研究所 === 98 === The purpose of this study is to discuss the relation between information literacy and teaching effectiveness of junior high school teachers in Tainan County. Based on the result of the research, it provides suggestions to education authorities, teachers of junior high schools and junior high school administrators. A quantitative survey was undertaken by using a questionnaire to collect and analyze the data and reviewing documents which include domestic and foreign related studies of information literacy and teaching effectiveness. Samples were drawn from teachers who teach in public junior high schools in Tainan County in the ninety-eighth academic year to answer the questionnaire but excluded supply teachers, holding concurrent teaching jobs teacher and practice teachers. 491 questionnaires were distributed, and 443 were returned. The results were analyzed by t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson’s product-moment correlation and multiple regression analysis.
And the findings are as follows:
1. The teachers of the junior high schools in Tainan County have “ Mid-High ” scores on information literacy.
2. The teachers also have “ Mid-High “ scores on teaching effectiveness.
3. Male teachers, younger teachers and holding concurrent administration teachers perform better on information literacy.
4. Teachers who passed information Competency and frequently used IT equipments score higher on teaching effectiveness.
5. Teachers in public schools perform better on information literacy.
6. The relationship between information literacy and teaching effectiveness is significantly and positively related.
According to the above conclusion, the findings can be referred

To plan teachers’ IT courses systematically
To distribute education resources evenly
To promote teachers’ self-belief
2.To teachers of junior high schools and school administrators:
To set up teachers’ learning community on campus
To enhance multi-media equipments
To teachers of junior high schools who should strengthen the capability to the ever-changing environment and enhance self-teaching effectiveness.
