Description
Summary:碩士 === 大葉大學 === 管理學院碩士在職專班 === 98 === Marine ecology has been highly emphasized by many countries around the world recently. Nevertheless, there is a lot of research regarding environmental attitudes and behaviors while little research was focus on the perspective of leisure involvement in the past. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to discuss the impact of leisure involvement on environmental attitudes and behaviors. The study is based on the questionnaire survey and the survey began in March 2010. Of all the 415 questionnaires distributed, 403 were complete and usable. In addition, reliability and validity of the variables would be examined. The result show that reliability and validity are within acceptable range. The study adopts hierarchical regression analysis to analyze the data. The result shows that leisure involvement doesn’t have an influence on environmental attitudes, but leisure involvement has a positive effect on environmental behaviors. Moreover, environmental attitudes display a positive effect on environmental behaviors. The findings show that the students won’t change their environmental attitudes after they get involved in the marine leisure activities but they will change their environmental behaviors. Furthermore, people with a positive environmental attitude will have positive environmental behaviors. According to the study, schools can arrange some field trips or parent and child ac-tivities related to marine ecology. By doing so, students can have a chance to get close to the ocean and thus foster their environmental behaviors of caring and protecting the ocean. To enhance the promotion of marine environmental education, marine ecology and the knowledge of marine culture, the government should improve the hardware fa-cilities and cooperate with non-governmental organizations in order to create a new op-portunity of marine ecological leisure activities for Taiwan.
