Secondly, this study also discussed the correlation and variation of good teachers’ characteristics emphasized by teachers, pupils, and parents. Thirdly, we tried to figure out professional develop-ment process of good teachers through interview study. Questionnaire Survey Method were adopted in this study; 333 teachers, 442 pupils, and 393 parents from public elementary schools in Changhua County were enrolled as subjects of this study. We also interviewed 2 teachers awarded with Power/Super Award for purpose of support research findings. Findings of this study are: 1. Teachers, pupils, and parents all believe that good “class management and counsel-ing” are the primary characteristics of good teachers. 2. Elementary school teachers with different background variables (gender) have signif icantly different views on characteristics of good teachers. 3. Elementary school pupils with different background variables (gender,grad, self–ass essing school performance) have significantly different views on characteristics of good teachers. 4. Parents of elementary school pupils with different background variables (gender, ed ucation level, occupation) have significantly different views on characteristics of good teachers. 5. Teachers, pupils, and parents have significantly different views on characteristics of good teachers. 6. Views of elementary school teachers, pupils, and parents respectively are signifi-cantly correlation among the five levels of good teacher characteristics. Among those, teachers’ views on “teaching competency” and “class management and counseling” are most correlation, compared with pupils and parents’ views on “class management and counseling” and “professional attitude”.
