The lutein after grinding components required for effective identification and analysis. firstly, a laser particle size analyzer for particle size analysis of powder, then UV - visible spectrometer for identification of the effective concentration. The results showed that the particle size declines with the grinding equipped more knife, releases of active ingredients with the knife while the number increases. Finally, to confirm that nano- lutein have health benefits and to verify the effectiveness of in vitro model, we used retinal pigment epithelial cells as observed in cell lines, placed in the oxidative damage and UV damage environment and compared over time the extent of damage. Unilaterally, the lutein was found for the best in anti-UV damage, whilst the West Indian Cherry for the most obvious in anti-oxidative damage protection. However, a compound of mixed nanopowder offers both protections of anti-UV and anti-oxidative damage. Then, according to statistical analysis, regardless of unilateral or compound, we found that, the smaller particle size was, the better was the health benefits of the two protections. We proved that drying process was the best of the manufacturing process for mechanical grinding of lutein powder, it can enhance the effectiveness of the current lutein product and is expected to improve the existing dosage for the benefit of users.
