| Summary: | 碩士 === 逢甲大學 === 都市計畫所 === 98 === After the National Expressway 6 has accomplished, it has a significant effect on promoting Nan-Tou County’s economic development and tourism. Therefore, local communities along the National Expressway 6 begin to solicite to add more interchanges. Additional interchanges may further help local economic and tourism developments, it has to make a careful analysis in the planning and design phase of adding more interchanges owing to the actual traffic demands, impacts on transportation efficiency and safety and the huge construction cost involved.
As the resident of Wu-Fong Township and Kuo-Shin Township of Nan-Tou County have fiercely solicited to construct an additional interchange in the respective township, then, the objective of this study is to conduct a cost-effect analysis the newly requested interchanges.
The analysis resultes show that the new interchanges will only cause minor impacts on the current traffic flows. However, they may have direct effects on promoting the economic and tourism development of the respective townships.
